Hello and Welcome

Let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. My name is Joslynn and I was raised in Southern Ontario, Canada. I moved to Victoria, B.C. which is on Vancouver Island, as a teenager where I met my husband at age 17 and we have been together ever since. 

I have lived in North Saanich (a suburb of Victoria) since 1985 in the house my husband and I built, which we affectionately named Dragonfly Cottage. 

My Reiki Background

For the past 11 years I have been a health care worker and I first became aware of Reiki a few years ago when I began complaining of a sore shoulder to a co-worker. This co-worker said she had just taken a Reiki Level 1 course and asked if she could place her hands on my shoulder.

When she placed her hands on me I felt tremendous heat wash over me. It felt wonderful, like a hot water bottle being placed there. After about 10 minutes of this treatment my shoulder felt great and I asked her how she did it. She just smiled and said it was Reiki energy.

Shortly after that incident, my brother became terminally ill with prostate cancer. He had a Reiki Master come to his house every week to see him. He said he felt very peaceful and calm after his treatments. It also lessened his pain and he could sleep better.

This made me curious, just what was this Reiki Healing?  That was when fate stepped in and I met Reiki Master and Teacher Cheryl Dawn. I enrolled in several of her workshops and learned about Energy Medicine.

When Cheryl offered a Reiki Level 1 and 2 workshop I jumped at the chance to learn what this wonderful energy was. It was then that I knew I was meant to do this and began to attend drop-in Reiki sessions with Cheryl, read everything I could about Reiki and it's history and I practiced on my family and friends at every opportunity. Shortly thereafter, I received my Reiki Master's/Teacher Degree.

How I Became a Reflexologist

As my passion for Reiki grew, my curiosity for other natural healing modalities grew with it. That's when I found Reflexology and became hooked.

As I investigated further I realized that people were completely relaxed after a session and the apparent health benefits were many. Knowing how soothing and relaxing Reiki was I wanted to learn Reflexology and incorporate the two modalities. Not only do I physically work the reflexes of the feet, I also energetically infuse them with Reiki. Many people find this combination to be extremely beneficial physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

I am a fully certified Reflexologist and am very excited to be offering this unique and ancient healing modality to all my clients.
